Group classes with fun and safe equipment offers a range of benefits. Mainly it gives them the visual to physical movement which is imperative to cognitive brain functioning. It also helps improve muscle strength, joint stability, and bone density which are crucial for anyone aging. The bands and weights also allow for controlled, low-impact resistance, reducing the risk of injury while still boosting endurance and balance while even creating more cognitive brain functioning. Plus, it fosters a sense of community within peers and builds conf idence, empowering seniors to stay active and engaged in their health on a consistent routine.

In my class everyone is a fit, no one is excluded.. According to Alzheimer's News Today, Music and laughter are strong medicine against dementia.
I make sure to bring in a lively, fun energy that is full of smiles and positive reinforcement.
We usually play low tempo 60's rock music to create a welcoming and energizing atmosphere.

As a fitness coach in a senior citizen home for over 8 yrs I've found that building relationships with residents is vital. These daily connections go beyond just exercise, they provide a sense of stability and trust, especially for those who may not have family visits. When residents know they can count on me, they feel seen, valued, and less alone. Over time, these bonds foster a more positive, motivated, and engaged group, enriching both their well-being and my impact as a coach
